How to get lasting big curls for medium/long length hair?

I try using a curling iron, but they don't last at all. Even if I spray a bunch.

I take showers at night, and sleep with it wet. Then when I wake up it's dry.

SO would sleeping in curlers work for me? Any tips on how to make my hair curlier and last longer? Hot rollers, curls, ahhh idk how to do anything bahhaa. How to get lasting big curls for medium/long length hair?
1. Try not to wash your hair the night before- the natural oils help keep the curls in.

2. Try ';prepping'; your hair before you curl- apply 2-3 palmfuls of mousse to your hair, and then take a flatbrush and blowdry your hair until the mousse is dry, then clip your hair up into sectoins and start curling.

3. When you start curling your hair, use a hot iron. If you're using a cheaper iron (conair, revlon, etc) turn it up to the highest heat setting. If you're using a PRO iron (CHI, Hot Tools, BaByliss) use the according heat settings. The Conair irons tend to lose their heat quickly, and they don't regain them giving you flat curls that fall out.

4. When your done with each layer of hair, lightly hairspray it and move onto the next section. This will help keep your curls in.

My last tip: DONT TOUCH YOUR HAIR WHEN ITS WARM. This will cause your curls to become firzzy and fall out.

In this case you're probably going to need to use hot rollers. After applying the hot rollers to your entire head and allowing them to set, lightly brush the resulting curls and spray with hair spray to hold. You can also use standard hair rollers on damp hair or fashion your hair into pin curls using bobby pins and sit under a hair dryer until the hair is dry. Use hair spray to hold your new curls.
Great trick i learned... don't wash your hair 24 hours before curling it. this allows all the natural oils to come out of your hair and allows curls to stay in longer and better. try it, ill bet it'll work!
I use hot rollers and they work fantastic!!! but if it helps after you curl your hair apply only a little bit of hairspray and don't touch your hair throughout the day because that ruins the curls!!
hot rollers and a good hair spray!
