How do I keep the ends of my kinky twists from unraveling? Do I burn them or dip them?

I finally got my kinky twist put in and they really aren't unraveling yet but, I want to go home today and curl the ends. What's the best way of going about this. I usually just roll the ends of regular yaky hair with rods for permanent waves, dip them in hot water and let them dry with the rollers in. Is this advisable for the kinky hair? Please help.!!! Or do I burn the ends, roll them and sit under a hooded dryer? How do I keep the ends of my kinky twists from unraveling? Do I burn them or dip them?
You could try some locking gel or wax. That's what you would use on dread locks. Try some on the ends twist it and sit under the dryer for a few minutes. You could burn the ends if you want to. I personally don't like the way it smells when the ends are burnedHow do I keep the ends of my kinky twists from unraveling? Do I burn them or dip them?
Thank you for choosing me as Best Answer! I'm glad it worked for you.

well it depends if the hair is synthetic, human, yaki, or whatever... you never really specified.... i would suggest you go back to your stylist and ask before you cause a really bad accident!
if you use synthetic...dip in hot boiling hot water.
Burn it..Thats what my gurls do with their hair...Burn it off..
Yeah, dip it in hot, boiling water, but i wouldn't let it stay in too long because the color will come out of the weave. you should make sure you rod the hair before you dip it in the water though. don't burn yourself.

okay first twist ur hair to the side u can use rubber bands or u can gel them well and that will make the stay if u know how. the next part is optional. use a 2in barrel roller or hot curler to curl the crown of ur hair in one tight curls comb it out and make a pompador or camel hump....okay now make a pony tail on the other side or at the back just behind the camel hump.experiment with tracks or clip ons(human hair) spiral curl it how u want or leave it straight. What is this hairstyle called? Need help with HAIR style..HELP!?
    i would

    1) put gel in hair

    2) blowdry

    3) curl with a curling iron

    4) put bangs back with some bobby pins

    OR

    1) put gel in hair

    2) put curlers in

    3) take out when dry

    4) same as step 4 above

--also to speed the curlers up you could blow dry after hair is in curlers

--i wouldn't use hot rollers because the moisture from them will make ur curls not last as long as dry curlers.
i recoment getting a kiyoseki styler it good for everything you can curl, straighten, flip, or add really cool waves and it will last for a very long time and this might sound weird cause hair straighteners damage hair but the kiyoseki actually makes it better go to kstyler.com to check it out

    Should I get a bodywave?

I have long hair with absolutely NO curl! It is sooooooo hard to keep any style in my hair. I know it has a lot to do with how heavy my hair is because it is so long and thick. I have tried hot rollers, regular rollers, gel, mousse, hairspray, my hair is just stick strait! I want my hair to look lie this picture of lauren conrad. Help is needed... Should I try a body wave?

I have very dark brown hair also.

How would I go about getting this look? I would really appreciate a professional's advise,

    Thanks!Should I get a bodywave?
Hey Stephanie, the photo is not showing up for me (is it the cover from Seventeen?), but I'm actually a rep for the cosmetic and fashion company that Lauren Conrad is the spokesperson for: mark. Have you heard of it? Mark has a line of hair products called ';Curl Goddess'; which will help you achieve the curls and body you crave.

I suggest you use some mark Curl Goddess Styling Cream in your hair, section it and then use a large barrel curling iron. Wrap your hair around the curling iron then clamp it for 10 seconds.

If you want natural waves use a bit of mark Curl Goddess Curling Mist With Conditioning Sunflower and braid your hair. Take braids out after two hours and run your fingers through it.

    Loose waves (:?

I have very thin hair, and i want to have those loose waves that all the celebertys have, how do you do it? with a curling iron or hot rollers? HELP!Loose waves (:?
The easiest way to do it for thin hair is to put it in rollers the night before, and sleep with them in. Uncomfortable, but it works. The next morning take the rollers out and comb (with a wide tooth comb) some shine serum through. Use your hands to loosen the curls, and give yourself a couple blasts of cold air from your hairdryer. The curls will naturally loosen as the day goes on... because thin hair does not like to hold it... but it should last at least through your school/work day.Loose waves (:?
    rollers
waves or curls???? if waves then u could get a 3 barell hair waver
    try a curling iron
remember that a lot of celebs wear extensions, so it is not all natural. if you have real thin hair, consider cutting it short. you can work in tons of volume then.
i wouldn't use curler or rollers. They damange your hair, trust me, i know, but most people don't care if their hair becomes damaged, they just want what they can get. So make the right choice. I'd say Scruching, heres a website you can look at.

Help with Biology questions, three of them. Their ';Critical Thinking'; questions.?

    1) Before a long race, runners ofter '; carbo load. '; This means that they eat substantial quantities of carbohydrates. how might this help their performance?

    2) High temperatures can weaken bonds with a protein molecule. How might this explain the effects of using a hot curling iron or rollers in one's hair?

    3) You mant to eat unsaturated than saturated fats. Name examples of foods you would eat more of and less of.Help with Biology questions, three of them. Their ';Critical Thinking'; questions.?
    1. '; carbs provide the energy that fuels muscle contractions. Once eaten, carbohydrates breakdown into smaller sugars (glucose, fructose and galactose) that get absorbed and used as energy.Glycogen is the source of energy most often used for exercise. It is needed for any short, intense bouts of exercise from sprinting to weight lifting because it is immediately accessible. Glycogen also supplies energy during the first few minutes of any sport. During long, slow duration exercise, fat can help fuel activity, but glycogen is still needed to help breakdown the fat into something the muscles can use. '; - About.com

    2. ';Curling irons can curl hair because hair is essentially a long string of protein, acting like wood fiber. If you heat wood, it becomes malleable and you can form it and shape it. The process of heating the hair and curling it around the curling iron makes it keep that form until it is wetted, when it once again takes its natural shape. The temperature range that actually curls hair is fairly small, so all curling irons operate with close to the same amounts of electricity. ';-ehow.com
