My hair won't curl...any ideas?

My hair is naturally wavy and has medium thickness. if i get out of the shower, brush it, and leave it alone, it dries with wavy ringlets. usually i blow dry it straight without any effort, but then if i try to curl it with a curling iron, no matter how much hair spray or curling products i use, it wont hold a curl. its confusing. im not willing to heat the thing to 400 degrees to make it work or use hot rollers, even tho ive had some success with those. any ideas? do leave-in sponge rollers work good? thanks :)My hair won't curl...any ideas?
Do not use the sponge rollers. use the plastic magnetic snap on rollers. The curls will last longer and look much better. The sponge rollers dries out the hair by absorbing the oils also the hair gets tangled up in the sponge rollers. Stop using hair spray to hold your curls. When it is time to comb out your hair you will be breaking it off. Try setting your hair with a setting lotion. Believe me it will look much better. My hair won't curl...any ideas?
don't force ur hair to do something it can't
have u tried to sleep with plastic curlers i no they are very uncomfertuble but hey who said being perty was an easy job lol :D
usually if u have wavy hair it should be straight when wet so braid it when its wet and blow dry! the easiest way is to seperate ur hair in half so u end up with two braids! it should be perfectly curled after dried!
my hair is just like this. I usually braid it if I want it wavy or want to scrunch it. I have heard that it you have an old t-shirt and you cut it in strips and wrap your hair around it over night it gets curly. I haven't tried it yet though.
Maybe after you get out of the shower you could apply a curling gel or mouse to try and get your hair to dry a bit more curlier than wavy.

Good luck!
Get a wig or be satisfied with what is.
Try using a shampoo and conditioner for curly hair to bring out as much curl as you can then try it. If that doesn't work don't force your hair to try to do it anymore cause you will stress your hair out and damage it
leave in sponge rollers do work good and they keep a bounce. just make sure u use wrapping papers (tissue squares work too) the ripped up old t-shirt could work too. when i was younger my gramma used her fingers and brown paper bags to roll up and curl my hair. u use the paper bag strips as if u had a roller and tie when u get to the roots
try redken guts that stuff is the bomb to use with a curling iron yes those pink sponge rollers work great or do what i do i prop my blowdryer on my purse on the toliet and blow dry my hair scrutching the entired time which isnt that long but i get the prettiest curls that way
try a roller set. put end papers on the ends of ur hair to avoid splits. use the plastic rollers and hair pins and sit under a hair dryer 4 about 45 minutes(more or less depending on hair length and roller size.) or go to a hairsytlist to do the work for u
